Japanese collectible maker Kaiyodo has announced a new release for its popular articulated figure line, "Amazing Yamaguchi." Based on the acclaimed ninja action-adventure series "NINJA GAIDEN," the "Ryu Hayabusa Option Parts Expansion Pack" is scheduled to go on sale through Kaiyodo’s directly operated stores beginning October 3, 2026.
The solitary super ninja Ryu Hayabusa is the legendary hero of Koei Tecmo’s "NINJA GAIDEN" franchise and has made guest appearances in other series, including "Dead or Alive" and "Warriors." As the modern heir to the ancient Hayabusa school of ninjutsu and the last descendant of the Dragon Lineage, Ryu is destined to battle the forces of evil. Along with devastating ninpo techniques such as The Art of the Inferno, The Art of the Wind Blades, and the Izuna Drop, he can expertly wield the Dragon Sword, bows, staffs, kusarigama, and a wide range of other weapons throughout the "NINJA GAIDEN" series.
The "Amazing Yamaguchi Ryu Hayabusa Option Parts Expansion Pack" includes five newly sculpted weapons that were not packaged with previous Ryu Hayabusa figures: the cannon-class Howling Cannon, a pair of oversized tonfa with a weighty metallic finish, the lavishly decorated Fiend’s Bane Bow and Two-Pronged Arrow, the massive Enma’s Fang greatsword, and the axe-bladed Vigoorian Flail.
Each weapon was sculpted by Sugimoto F. Daichi. Rich paint applications distinguish the different metallic surfaces, jewels, and wood textures, while the dragon heads, demon masks, and intricate ornamental patterns have all been reproduced in sharp detail. Dedicated gripping hands are also included for each weapon, allowing collectors to equip separately sold Ryu Hayabusa figures and create hard-hitting combat poses.
