Following this summer's "Supergirl," the DC Universe is preparing to unleash its second big-screen release of the year. The Batman villain spinoff "Clayface" arrives just in time for Halloween next month, and its third and final trailer has now been released.
James Watkins, the filmmaker behind "Speak No Evil" and "Eden Lake," directs the movie. "Doctor Sleep" director Mike Flanagan conceived the story and wrote the initial screenplay, while "Drive" co-writer Hossein Amini later came aboard to revise the final script.

The cast includes Eddie Marsan, Naomi Ackie and Max Minghella, with Tom Rhys Harries starring as Matt Hagen, the man destined to become Clayface. The film opens in North American theaters on October 23, 2026.
"Clayface" is set within the main DC Universe and is separate from Robert Pattinson's "The Batman" franchise. It is also the earliest-set project in the DCU timeline to date.

Synopsis: Matt Hagen grows up surrounded by violence in the slums of Gotham City. After escaping his brutal childhood, he builds the kind of glamorous life others can only envy. But just as his acting career is poised to take off, an affair with a local crime boss's girlfriend sparks a vicious act of revenge that leaves his face horribly disfigured. Desperate to reclaim his life, Matt turns to scientist Caitlyn Corr, who attempts to restore his appearance with an experimental serum of her own creation. Instead, the treatment begins transforming his body into a monstrous creature known as Clayface.
