Chinese model kit maker BIGFIREBIRD BUILD has unveiled its "BIRD/BINARY SHADE" Future Vanguard MEDUSA MK2 & BAT HEAD 1/60 scale plastic model kit. The set packs the purple MEDUSA MK2 and white BAT HEAD into a single box alongside an extensive arsenal, wings, propulsion equipment, male and female pilot figures, and interchangeable armor. Each completed mech stands approximately 13cm tall. Priced at 3,905 yen including tax, the kit is scheduled for release in October 2026.
The two units feature contrasting purple and white color schemes. In addition to the main bodies, the kit includes reconfigurable wings, large propulsion units, and articulated connector arms. Interchangeable chest armor also lets builders alter each mech's appearance, opening up a range of customized configurations using the included equipment.
The arsenal is equally substantial, featuring electromagnetic braking handguns, pulse shotguns, high-voltage electric capture lances, high-frequency ring-pommel swords, large missile launchers, four-tube missile launchers, high-voltage lightning guns, and combat daggers. Large mechanical arms can also be mounted on the back, allowing both units to be reconfigured around the builder's preferred firepower loadout.
Beyond the two mechs, the box includes one male and one female pilot figure, interchangeable upper bodies, and standing figures molded in white and purple. Additional leg, chest, forearm, and shoulder armor parts are provided for previously released units, along with weapon stabilizers and other components. Collectors who already own kits from the Future Vanguard line can use these extras to further customize their existing mechs.
