Good Smile Company’s newly launched "G.S.Collection" scale figure line is bringing the winning entry from the 2025 Hatsune Miku x GSC Illustration Contest to life as the "G.S.Collection Sakura Miku: GSC Illustration Contest Ver." 1/7 scale figure. Priced at 24,800 yen including tax, the figure is scheduled for release in December 2027.
Held in 2025, the fourth round of the Hatsune Miku x GSC Illustration Contest invited artists to submit illustrations featuring the "Piapro Characters" across 12 different themes. Each round’s grand-prize winner received a cash award and the opportunity to have their artwork adapted into a scale figure. All 12 winning entries were announced in March 2026, with their upcoming figure adaptations now drawing plenty of attention.
Standing approximately 10.2 inches tall, the "G.S.Collection Sakura Miku: GSC Illustration Contest Ver." 1/7 scale figure recreates the official-outfit Sakura Miku illustration by artist fusuma. Captured glancing back while holding balloons, Miku perfectly preserves the original artwork’s dreamy, ephemeral atmosphere. Her bangs feature finely sculpted individual strands, while her massive twin-tails use translucent parts with a pink gradient and faithfully recreated cherry blossom patterns. A matte finish gives her outfit the look of real fabric, with its windswept sculpt creating a soft, natural sense of movement. Glossy paintwork on her legs provides a striking textural contrast with the clothing. Translucent balloons, a fluttering skirt, and a windblown tie complete this wonderfully light and airy display piece.
