BANDAI's original super-deformed Gundam collectible line, “QMSV mini,” blends street-art styling with densely packed mechanical detail. Its latest release spotlights the fan-favorite mobile suit from the novel “Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack: Beltorchika's Children” with the “QMSV mini Hi-v Gundam”. After generating plenty of buzz in overseas designer-toy markets, the blind-box collection is now receiving a reverse-import release in Japan. BANDAI has revealed the complete lineup ahead of its September 26, 2026 launch at major Japanese toy retailers, with each box priced at 2,420 yen.
Created by Bandai Namco in collaboration with contemporary artists, the QMSV line has won over collectors with its chunky two-head-tall proportions and streetwear-inspired reinterpretations of classic mobile suit designs. As Amuro Ray's ultimate machine in the alternate story, the Hi-ν Gundam remains a perennial favorite thanks to its wing-like Fin Funnels, sleek armor, and signature white-and-purple color scheme. This release compresses the massive mobile suit into a palm-sized figure standing approximately 4 inches tall while retaining its powerful silhouette. Fine details include the large rear propellant tanks, dedicated Beam Rifle, and Amuro's personal insignia on the shield, striking a sharp balance between designer-toy attitude and intricate mecha styling.
The collection features eight colorways in all. Alongside the classic white-and-purple version and the reworked “Alternative Ver.,” the lineup includes the futuristic “Light of Time Ver.,” the dark and imposing “Black Flame Ver.,” the combat-ready “Sand Military Ver.,” and the industrial-looking “Machine Metallic Ver.” Two rare chase figures, Secret 1 and Secret 2, round out the assortment, including an especially eye-catching blue, red, and metallic color scheme guaranteed to tempt completionists.
Collectors in several overseas markets have already been opening these blind boxes and sharing photos of the secret variants online.
