Acclaimed poster art and collectibles company MONDO is celebrating Ultraman's 60th anniversary with a new collection of Soft Vinyl releases! First up are the "Ultraman - 1966" and "Ultraman - Land of Light Variant" figures, priced at $120 and $150, respectively. The standard edition is limited to 500 pieces, while the Land of Light Variant is capped at just 175. Both figures will be available exclusively through the MONDO SHOP website beginning at 11 a.m. CT on September 29, 2026.
Inspired by the work of tokusatsu legend Eiji Tsuburaya, the "Ultraman - 1966" Soft Vinyl figure stands approximately 10 inches tall. MONDO's art team has reimagined the original Ultraman with compact, stylized proportions that emphasize his powerful build. The figure is cast in soft red vinyl and finished with sleek, understated metallic silver paint. Translucent materials are used for the eyes and blue Color Timer, adding another layer of detail to the design.
The Land of Light Variant is cast in translucent vinyl embedded with silver glitter, then accented with bold red markings. Under direct light, the entire figure comes alive with a dazzling, otherworldly shimmer.
Both versions include interchangeable arms and hands for recreating Ultraman's Spacium Beam charging pose. A right hand designed to connect to the included Spacium Beam effect part is also provided, allowing collectors to display his iconic finishing move in action. Pair either figure with the newly revealed "Jirahs" and "Jirahs - Anatomy Variant" to recreate the classic battle between the Giant of Light and the mutant dinosaur of Lake Kitayama!
