BANDAI SPIRITS’ TAMASHII NATIONS collectibles division has announced the latest release in its popular S.H.Figuarts action figure line: "Kamen Rider MAOU" from the tokusatsu series "Kamen Rider MY-TH." The figure is scheduled for release in March 2027.
One hundred years before the events of 2026’s newest Kamen Rider series, "Kamen Rider MY-TH," a group of Riders who transformed using animal powers formed the Zodiac Alliance. Together, they battled the human-hunting monsters known as the Inexplicable and protected the world. However, the alliance’s leader, Kamen Rider MY-TH, suddenly betrayed the group, leaving the remaining members to fall into a mysterious century-long slumber.
In the present day, cynical butler Sora Otosumi lives in an elegant mansion with the cheerful and innocent young heiress Yuna Mizuki. Sora possesses the power to transform into Kamen Rider MY-TH and fights the Inexplicable with Yuna’s support. Meanwhile, the Zodiac Alliance awakens in the modern era under a new leader who should not exist: Kamuri Minetaka, aka Kamen Rider MAOU. After learning of MY-TH’s existence, Kamuri begins hunting him from the shadows, setting the stage for a fierce clash between the two sides.
"S.H.Figuarts Kamen Rider MAOU" stands approximately 5.9 inches tall and features extensive articulation. The figure faithfully recreates MAOU’s fierce translucent compound eyes, the mesh pattern across the black sections of his undersuit, and the intricate detailing of his MAOU DRIVER transformation belt. Armor and tail parts molded in multiple shades of red and black capture the character’s striking on-screen color scheme.
Carefully engineered joints and precisely divided armor sections preserve the suit’s appearance throughout a wide range of poses. Accessories include two types of interchangeable hands for each side and a replacement Ride X-Eggs part, allowing collectors to recreate MAOU’s savage fighting style and his stance before unleashing a Rider Punch finisher. Pair him with the separately sold "Kamen Rider MY-TH" to stage the series’ ultimate cat-and-mouse showdown.
