Bandai's GASHAPON brand has launched a new capsule toy collection based on "Mobile Suit Gundam." The "Gundam Series Mouse Pad Collection" brings iconic protagonist and rival mobile suits from across the franchise straight to your desktop. The lineup features eight designs priced at 500 yen per spin, with the collection rolling out across Japan beginning in the fourth week of September 2026.
The collection is sold through the capsule-free "FLAT GASHAPON" format. You still turn the machine's handle to receive one random design, but instead of dropping inside a round capsule, the product comes out flat and ready to use. Each mouse pad resembles a mobile suit technical data sheet, combining a large image of the machine with its English name, series logo, and a grid-pattern background. Set one on your desk, and it feels like you are using an actual maintenance document as your mousing surface.
The eight designs are arranged into four hero-versus-rival matchups: Gundam and Char's Zaku II from "Mobile Suit Gundam"; Zeta Gundam and The-O from "Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam"; ZZ Gundam and Qubeley from "Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ"; and Unicorn Gundam (Destroy Mode) and Sinanju from "Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn." Pull both designs from the same series, and the hero and rival can resume their battle right beside your mouse. Collecting all four matchups, however, means the toughest opponent will not be an enemy mobile suit—it will be GASHAPON RNG.
