BANDAI SPIRITS’ TAMASHII NATIONS division teased a new S.H.Figuarts release based on "Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse" through its official social media accounts on September 28!
"Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse" picks up roughly a year and a half after the first film, with Gwen Stacy suddenly reappearing in Miles Morales’ life and introducing him to the interdimensional Spider Society. As The Spot evolves into a threat capable of endangering the entire multiverse, Miles follows Gwen on an adventure that forces him to confront his identity while fighting to save countless worlds. The long-awaited sequel, "Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse," was also recently confirmed for a theatrical release next year, giving fans even more reason to get excited.
The S.H.Figuarts lineup has already covered an impressive roster of characters from the film, including Miles Morales, Spider-Gwen, Spider-Man 2099, Spider-Punk, Spider-Man India, Spider-Man Noir & Spider-Ham, Peter B. Parker & Mayday Parker, Miles G. Morales, and Scarlet Spider. That leaves plenty of room to speculate about who this teaser could be pointing to. Major Spider variants still waiting for the S.H.Figuarts treatment include Jessica Drew’s Spider-Woman, Margo Kess’ Spider-Byte, and Peni Parker from the first film. Personally, we would love to see some villains join the collection, especially The Spot, Doctor Octopus, or Kingpin.
