TAMASHII NATIONS, the collectibles division of Japan’s BANDAI SPIRITS, has announced a new addition to its S.H.Figuarts action figure brand through its official X account: "ONE PIECE -TWO YEARS LATER-"!
During the Sabaody Archipelago Arc, the Straw Hat Pirates were driven into a corner by the Pacifistas and Admiral Kizaru before Bartholomew Kuma sent every member of the crew flying to a different location. Following the Marineford Arc, Luffy took Silvers Rayleigh’s advice and sent his scattered crewmates the coded message "3D2Y"—scrapping their planned reunion in three days and replacing it with a two-year training period. Each member then endured grueling training on the island where they had landed, building the strength needed to return to the New World.
Last week, the official account dropped a cryptic "3D2Y" teaser, immediately sparking speculation among fans. We now know that the new line will focus on the Straw Hat Pirates’ reunion two years later. The first reveal showcases Luffy in his post-timeskip Sabaody Archipelago look, along with a promise of improved articulation across the line. Product images show his chest scar rendered in a purplish tone, while the previous two-piece torso setup has been streamlined into a chest joint and a second joint concealed beneath the waist to preserve the sculpted abs. His denim shorts finally feature thigh swivels, and the yellow sash around his waist now includes a joint that allows it to swing forward. The crew’s post-timeskip designs will be dramatically different from those in the earlier ROMANCE DAWN series. Collectors will undoubtedly be watching to see how S.H.Figuarts tackles Franky’s massive, top-heavy proportions and Brook’s towering frame. A figure of Jinbe, who joined the crew in the New World, would also be an exciting addition. Full product details will be announced at a later date, but this line already looks incredibly promising!
