TAMASHII NATIONS, the collector-focused division of BANDAI SPIRITS, has teased its latest METAL ROBOT SPIRITS release, a line of premium robot figures featuring metallic paint applications and die-cast inner frames. The upcoming release is Gundam Vidar [Re:Coordinate] from "Mobile Suit Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans," with full details to be revealed at a later date.
ASW-G-XX Gundam Vidar appears in the second season of "Mobile Suit Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans." It is piloted by Gaelio Bauduin, who wears a mask and operates under the alias "Vidar." The mobile suit is actually the Gundam Kimaris Trooper concealed beneath extensive disguise armor. Gaelio finally sheds that armor ahead of his decisive battle with McGillis Fareed, entering the fight as the Gundam Kimaris Vidar.
Following the 2020 release of the "METAL ROBOT SPIRITS Gundam Vidar", the mobile suit is returning under the [Re:Coordinate] banner. The teaser image reveals revised tampo-printed markings across the chest, shoulders, and upper arms, though fans will have to wait for the full reveal to see whether the overall color scheme has also received a major update.
