Hong Kong collectible brand Hot Toys has revealed its latest release from the hit tokusatsu series "Kamen Rider W": the Kamen Rider W CycloneJoker 1/6 Scale collectible action figure. Pricing and release details will be announced soon!
"Kamen Rider W" kicked off the second phase of the Heisei-era Kamen Rider franchise, combining the themes of detectives and memories with its signature concept: two people transforming into a single Kamen Rider. The hero is formed by self-styled hard-boiled detective Shotaro Hidari and Philip, a brilliant young man capable of accessing the Gaia Library. Together, they use the Double Driver and Gaia Memories to transform. Their primary form is CycloneJoker, with four additional core Memories allowing them to switch between multiple combinations. The Fang Memory and Xtreme Memory join their arsenal later in the story, bringing Kamen Rider W's TV form count to 11.
The Hot Toys Kamen Rider W CycloneJoker 1/6 Scale collectible action figure features a newly developed "Double Mask" helmet sculpt. Its eyes incorporate a magnetically activated LED lighting system with four illumination modes, including a single-eye flashing effect that recreates Shotaro and Philip's telepathic communication. The figure also faithfully reproduces the asymmetrical patterns across W's armor. Two interchangeable scarves are included: a rigid plastic version sculpted in a windswept pose and a fabric version with an embedded wire for dynamic posing.
The accessory lineup includes four sets of interchangeable hands for recreating Kamen Rider W's signature poses. The Cyclone and Joker Memories can be removed from the Double Driver worn at the waist. A separate Double Driver storage set is also included, featuring an inactive Driver and six Gaia Memories; the inactive version can be swapped with the Driver on the figure. The phone-shaped Stag Phone can hold the included Stag Memory, though it does not transform. Hot Toys even threw in Akiko Narumi's trademark weapon—a green slipper stamped in gold with "Now, count up your sins!"—allowing collectors to recreate the memorable fantasy sequence featuring Akiko's version of W. A display base decorated with a dedicated character emblem rounds out the set.
The figure will be offered in standard and Special Edition versions. In addition to everything listed above, the Special Edition includes an exclusive effects diorama base capturing the moment a two-tone cyclone erupts around Kamen Rider W.
