Following last year’s “Musha Shichinin Shuu Set,” BANDAI SPIRITS’ BANDAI HOBBY division has revealed two more Gunpla collections from "SD Sengokuden" for its SD Gundam BB Senshi series. The new VS Dark Army Set 1 and VS Dark Army Set 2 are scheduled for release in March 2027.
"SD Gundam BB Senshi: SD Sengokuden" was a model kit series released by Bandai from 1988 to 1992, building on the breakout popularity of Musha Gundam from "Plamo-Kyoshiro." Set against a fantasy world inspired by Japan’s Sengoku period, the story reimagines Gundams from across the franchise as seven invincible samurai. As the Gundam Army’s elite warriors, they travel the land to preserve peace and uphold justice amid an age of chaos. Their greatest challenge arrives when the mysterious Yamishogun leads the Dark Army into battle, backed by an even more terrifying evil lurking in the shadows. With that, an epic war between light and darkness begins.
These two releases bring together classic Gundam Army and Dark Army character kits in new boxed sets. Each model retains its original design and weapon gimmicks, while the vintage package artwork returns as part of a newly assembled full-color outer box. The sets also come with a newly produced Musha File booklet, titled "SD Sengokuden Musha Super Encyclopedia," offering fans another chance to revisit each character’s story.
SD Gundam BB Senshi VS Dark Army Set 1 includes four kits: Gundam Daishogun, Shogundam, Yamishogun, and Yami Koutei. Meanwhile, SD Gundam BB Senshi VS Dark Army Set 2 features five kits: Musha Hyaku-Shiki, Hyakkimaru, Kozaku, Konzaku, and Shinzaku.
