BANDAI SPIRITS’ BANDAI HOBBY division has announced another Premium Bandai reissue from its BB Senshi "LEGENDBB" model kit series. Originally inspired by the card game "SD Gundam Ultimate Battle," the classic "Knight Unicorn Gundam (Beast Mode Ultimate Battle Ver.)" Gunpla is scheduled to begin shipping in March 2027.
Knight Unicorn Gundam first appeared in "SD Gundam Ultimate Battle," a card game that brought together six different SD Gundam worlds. This mysterious warrior travels across time and space, using a card-based device to summon heroes from other SD Gundam universes and wield their weapons and armor. His journey sends him on a mission to set the rules of a newly formed world back on course. Based on the RX-0 Unicorn Gundam from "Mobile Suit Gundam UC," his design features exposed psycho-frame sections breaking through the white armor. His later appearance in "New Testament SD Gundam Gaiden" added the Unicorn Mode-inspired "Masked Mode" and the "Mythos Mode," which resembles Knight Gundam’s Centaur Form.
The returning "Knight Unicorn Gundam (Beast Mode Ultimate Battle Ver.)" recreates the character under the Red Majin’s control, with his entire psycho-frame glowing red. The white armor features a Titanium Finish, with white paint applied over silver-plated parts to create a weighty metallic look. Gold glitter suspended inside clear red parts brings the crimson psycho-frame to life, while the ornate horn crest comes molded in gold-plated plastic. The Magnum Sword and cape use Gloss Injection molding for their distinctive sheen.
The kit also includes a gold-plated horn crest and alternate parts for recreating Knight Unicorn Gundam’s "Masked Mode" appearance from "New Testament SD Gundam Gaiden." Combine it with the Centaur parts included with the separately sold "LEGENDBB Knight Gundam" kit to build "Mythos Mode"!
