Japanese statue maker Prime 1 Studio has unveiled its Real Elite Masterline "Batman" Mr. Freeze: Heart of Ice 1/3 scale statue, featuring a concept design by comic book artist Carlos D'Anda. Along with Mr. Freeze decked out in heavy cryogenic armor and wielding his Freeze Gun, the elaborate display includes his wife Nora sleeping inside a cryogenic chamber. Limited to 350 pieces worldwide, the DX Bonus Version is priced at $3,199 and is scheduled to ship between February and May 2028.
Rather than recreating Mr. Freeze's appearance from a specific movie or video game, Carlos D'Anda developed an original armor design and display environment for the character. His pale face remains visible beneath the transparent dome, while his cryogenic suit is packed with tubing, reinforced joints, and industrial machinery. From the supports around his legs to the hoses running across his back, every detail makes the armor look like a system that must constantly maintain subzero temperatures to keep him alive.
LED lighting illuminates both the Freeze Gun and goggles, but the cryogenic chamber behind him is what truly sets this release apart from a conventional standing statue. Nora rests beneath an icy blue glow, while the chamber itself incorporates ornamentation reminiscent of a classical goddess statue. Together, these elements bring Mr. Freeze's tragic devotion to his wife into the heart of the display.
The DX Version also includes three interchangeable portraits, two right-hand options, and two portrait display stands. The right hand can be swapped between the Freeze Gun and an unarmed hand, while the DX Bonus Version adds one exclusive bonus portrait and a dedicated display stand. With so many portrait options, collectors can give Mr. Freeze several distinct expressions beneath his transparent dome.
