Japanese figure maker Wonderful Works has opened preorders for its latest release from the hit anime film "Cosmic Princess Kaguya!": the "Iroha Sakayori: Collaboration Concert Ver." painted non-scale figure. Priced at 6,600 yen including tax, the figure is scheduled for release in April 2027.
Streaming exclusively on Netflix, the anime film "Cosmic Princess Kaguya!" made a major splash earlier this year with its story and covers of classic Vocaloid songs. The film follows Iroha Sakayori, a teenage girl living on her own while juggling school and part-time jobs. Her one source of comfort is watching streams from popular virtual personality Yachiyo Runami. Just as Iroha reaches her breaking point, she discovers a mysterious baby inside a utility pole outside her home. The infant rapidly grows into a teenage girl who claims to come from the Moon, and Iroha names her Kaguya. As the pair grow closer across both the real world and the virtual realm of Tsukuyomi, a mysterious force from the Moon arrives to take Kaguya home.
The "Iroha Sakayori: Collaboration Concert Ver." painted non-scale figure stands approximately 17 centimeters tall. Like the "Kaguya: Collaboration Concert Ver." and "Yachiyo Runami: Collaboration Concert Ver." figures, it recreates the collaboration concert awarded to the winners of the Yachiyo Cup. Each figure captures one of the trio’s dynamic poses during their performance of "Ex-Otogibanashi." Despite its compact, display-friendly size and accessible price, the figure does not skimp on detail. Iroha’s bangs feature a subtle light-to-shadow gradient, while her facial sculpt captures her lively expression. Even the nail art has been faithfully reproduced, and the tiny octopus charm hanging from her keytar is made with a translucent part. Display all three figures together to recreate the movie’s energetic concert scene.
