BANDAI SPIRITS’ TAMASHII NATIONS collectibles division officially unveiled a new S.H.Figuarts release from "Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse" on September 30: the Spider-Man 2099 -928 WARDEN OF THE MULTIVERSE- action figure. Priced at 9,900 yen, the figure is scheduled for release in May 2027.
Miguel O'Hara, better known as Spider-Man 2099, is the Spider-Man of Earth-928 and the founder of the Spider-Society. Driven by his longing for a family, Miguel once traveled to a universe where his counterpart had died and took his place—only to trigger that reality’s complete collapse. The tragedy pushed him to obsessively protect each universe’s Canon Events in an effort to preserve the stability of the multiverse.
The new Spider-Man 2099 -928 WARDEN OF THE MULTIVERSE- figure stands approximately 7.1 inches tall and repaints the sculpt from the version released three years ago. The figure retains Miguel’s imposing build and the finely sculpted texture work covering his suit. This edition is molded in a deeper, more subdued shade of blue, creating a stronger contrast with the red sections. Brighter paint applications have also been added to the engraved red lines, giving the overall color scheme a more refined finish.
The accessory lineup carries over two pairs of interchangeable hands, an alternate neck piece, two red web effects, and Miguel’s multiverse-travel bracelet. His alternate head has also been replaced with a roaring expression. While the original figure’s translucent red cape has been dropped from this release, the set adds a dedicated Spider-Man 2099 logo display stand matching the style of the bases previously included with Miles Morales and Gwen Stacy. It provides extra support for displaying Miguel in a variety of powerful action poses. Like the simultaneously revealed "Miles G. Morales -42 MILES ON THE PROWLER’S PATH-," this edition will receive a general retail release, making it considerably easier to track down than the previous Tamashii Web Shop exclusive. Collectors who missed the original shouldn’t sleep on this second chance.
