BANDAI SPIRITS’ TAMASHII NATIONS division officially unveiled a new S.H.Figuarts release inspired by "Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse" on September 30: the Miles G. Morales -42 MILES ON THE PROWLER’S PATH- action figure. Priced at 9,900 yen, the figure is scheduled for release in June 2027.
Miles G. Morales, whom the movie’s hero encounters at the end of "Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse," was originally destined to become the Spider-Man of Earth-42. However, the radioactive spider meant to bite him was transported to Earth-1610 by the Spot. Without a Spider-Man to protect it, Earth-42 fell into darkness, and its Miles instead became the Prowler. This alternate Miles is also set to return in the recently previewed "Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse," which is scheduled to hit theaters in 2027.
The new Miles G. Morales -42 MILES ON THE PROWLER’S PATH- release features a particularly clever subtitle, playing on Miles’ name and the unit of distance, as well as “on the prowl” and Prowler. Standing approximately 16 centimeters tall, the figure repaints the sculpt from the previous release to recreate Miles’ dramatic appearance in his Prowler suit during the movie’s Earth-42 finale. The suit’s intricate details are faithfully reproduced, while glossy eye lenses give the masked figure an even more intimidating presence.
The accessory selection has been pared back compared to the more expensive earlier release. This version includes two pairs of interchangeable claw hands and two Miles G. Morales head sculpts. It does, however, add a dedicated display stand featuring the Prowler Miles logo, matching the style of the bases included with Miles and Gwen. The stand offers extra stability when posing the figure in more dynamic stances. Like the simultaneously announced “Spider-Man 2099 -928 WARDEN OF THE MULTIVERSE-,” this new edition will receive a standard retail release, making it easier to track down than the previous version. Collectors who missed out the first time shouldn’t let this opportunity slip away.
