Chinese model kit maker Cang Dao Model has teamed up with designer toy brand Zhuowu for a Crayon Shin-chan Action Kamen plastic model kit. The companies also revealed a matching Kantam Robo kit, bringing two of Shin-chan’s favorite heroes to the model kit format. Along with extensive articulation, the figure includes interchangeable heads for switching between Gotaro Go and Action Kamen, plus a sizable clear Action Beam effect part. Pricing and release details have yet to be announced.
Action Kamen has been Shin-chan’s hero since childhood, and scenes of him shouting attack names and copying poses from the show are a familiar Crayon Shin-chan staple. Thanks to the kit’s multi-jointed design, collectors can recreate everything from Action Jump and Action Rolling Thunder to flying kicks and arms-wide battle stances. The previously covered Bandai SMP Kit Makes Pose series also emphasized articulation and signature poses, but Cang Dao Model’s new release stands approximately 8 inches tall and adds even more character-switching options.
The kit also comes with a Gotaro Go head sculpt, allowing builders to switch between Action Kamen’s human identity and superhero form. A clear Action Beam effect part attaches to the chest to recreate his finishing attack in action. From the transformation gimmick to the signature special move, the package covers all the essentials—and longtime fans will immediately picture Shin-chan running around imitating his idol while shouting, “Action Beam—beep-beep-beep-beep!”
