Universal Pictures surprised fans in May 2025 by announcing that the "Ted" franchise would follow its hit live-action prequel with an animated sequel series. More than a year later, the first teaser and promotional poster, pictured below, have finally arrived.
The new show once again hails from "Ted" filmmaker and voice star Seth MacFarlane. The first season premieres December 17 on Peacock, with additional episodes set to arrive in 2027. Picking up 12 years after the events of "Ted 2," the animated series finds John and Ted living next door to each other. Both now have families and dead-end jobs, and their favorite pastime may be giving each other terrible advice about marriage and parenting.
