BANDAI’s Gashapon division is bringing the popular anime series "Sgt. Frog" back to its fan-favorite MACHIBOKE lineup with the new "Sgt. Frog☆ MACHIBOKE NEW EDITION" Capsule Toys. Each pull will cost 300 yen, with the collection scheduled to launch during the third week of October 2026.
Created by Japanese manga artist Mine Yoshizaki, "Sgt. Frog" follows Sergeant Keroro and his fellow soldiers, who are sent from Planet Keron on a reconnaissance mission. After their cover is blown, the would-be invaders wind up living with the Hinata family, setting the stage for one chaotic comedy after another. The all-new "Sgt. Frog☆" TV anime premieres on October 3, adding even more excitement to the franchise’s return.
Following the earlier "Sgt. Frog MACHIBOKE de Arimasu!" and "Sgt. Frog MACHIBOKE de Arimasu 2" releases, the new "Sgt. Frog☆ MACHIBOKE NEW EDITION" collection draws inspiration from the upcoming "Sgt. Frog☆" anime and once again features all five members of the Keroro Platoon sitting around and waiting. Sergeant Keroro, Private Second Class Tamama, Corporal Giroro, and Lance Corporal Dororo appear to reuse portions of the earlier sculpts, with adjusted head angles and updated facial printing. Sergeant Major Kururu receives an all-new pose, reclining on one side with his legs tucked beneath him. Standing approximately 1.4 inches tall, these tiny figures faithfully capture the lovable frogs’ on-screen designs. The full lineup looks especially adorable displayed together, so collectors who missed the first two waves won’t want to let this one slip away.
