Rockstar Games continues to reveal more details about the open world of "Grand Theft Auto VI," and the studio has now suggested that while Leonida draws inspiration from Florida, some of the state’s most famous attractions—including Walt Disney World Resort, SeaWorld Orlando and Universal Studios—may not appear in the game.

Speaking with "Game Informer," Rockstar senior vice president of environment art Paul MacPherson said the team had to continually assess a vast range of elements while building Leonida, including terrain, towns, architecture, landmarks, scenery, plant life and rock formations. The environment artists then worked with the design and narrative teams to determine which elements best served the game.
"Even if we don’t include those exact locations, everything we’re building is designed to give players the complete Florida experience," MacPherson explained. In other words, Rockstar is not simply recreating every famous Florida attraction. Each location must earn its place based on the needs of the gameplay and story.
"Grand Theft Auto V" featured a pier amusement park where players could ride a Ferris wheel and roller coaster. However, attractions like these offer limited incentive for repeat visits, meaning the resources required to build an entire large-scale theme park may be better spent elsewhere.
Still, "Grand Theft Auto VI" is confirmed to feature an explorable zoo, along with more than 170 animal species—including rare and legendary variants. Players may not encounter landmarks like Disney World in Leonida, but Rockstar is aiming to capture the broader atmosphere of South Florida through richer ecosystems and distinctive locations.
