APEX-TOYS has announced a new figure based on the open-world action RPG "Wuthering Waves." The Traces Series Cartethyia chibi figure is scheduled for release in August 2027.
Rinascita’s Sentinel-linked Resonator, Cartethyia, was once a mischievous country girl who traveled the land pretending to be a wandering knight. Inspired by tales of knights seeking giants and tilting at windmills, she set off on her own pilgrimage armed with a knight’s helmet and a wooden stage sword. During one solemn ceremony, she stole a drink of sacramental wine and danced without a care, and she even turned the Order’s confinement room into her personal graffiti wall. To everyone’s surprise, she was ultimately chosen to become Fleurdelys, the Blessed Maiden charged with protecting Rinascita. After receiving the Sentinel’s power, she sealed away the girl she once was and took up her sword against the Dark Tide consuming the people.
The Traces Series features chibi figures with roughly 2.5-head-tall proportions and an average height of around 11 centimeters. Their broad cheeks and evenly proportioned limbs give each character an irresistibly cute cartoon look. Detailed paintwork and translucent parts recreate the elaborate costumes seen throughout "Wuthering Waves," while every figure comes with a unique scenic base inspired by the character’s memorable in-game introduction—bringing back the excitement of meeting each Resonator for the first time.
Standing approximately 10.5 centimeters tall, the Traces Series Cartethyia figure uses finely sculpted details and layered paint applications to capture her lightweight outfit, flowing fabric panels, ornate metallic accessories, and intricate patterns. Her thorn crown, bracelets, anklets, and the blue fabric trailing behind her are rendered with translucent parts featuring soft color gradients. An interchangeable arm is also included, allowing collectors to recreate her adorable idle animation as she plays with the “Knight Cartethyia” hand puppet. The display base depicts a grassy patch blooming with Bamboo Iris, Cartethyia’s Ascension Material.
