Kaiyodo Announces ARTPLA SCULPTURE WORKS Burning Godzilla Re:Imagination Plastic Model

Japanese model maker Kaiyodo announced a new release inspired by the film "Godzilla vs. Destoroyah" through its official social media accounts on October 2, 2026. Burning Godzilla Re:Imagination is officially joining the company’s ARTPLA SCULPTURE WORKS plastic model lineup!

In 1995’s "Godzilla vs. Destoroyah," volcanic activity triggered by shifting crust beneath the island releases a massive concentration of naturally occurring uranium. After absorbing too much of it, Godzilla undergoes rapidly accelerating nuclear fission, transforming into Burning Godzilla—his skin glowing red as white steam pours from his body—and placing the entire planet in danger!

The newly revealed development render recreates Burning Godzilla’s enraged roar after Godzilla Junior falls in the climactic waterfront battle, as his internal temperature spirals out of control and his body approaches total meltdown. The sculpt comes from renowned creature artist Shinobu Matsumura and will feature an all-new multicolor molding design. We can’t wait to see how the finished kit brings this dramatic scene to life! Kaiyodo also announced that “Hedorah Re:Imagination” and “Gigan (2004) Re:Imagination” will receive multicolor-molded plastic model kits of their own!
