French actor Olivier Martinez, who appeared in "Unfaithful" and "Taking Lives," has accused his ex-wife, Oscar winner Halle Berry, of physically abusing their 12-year-old son. Martinez filed a petition for a temporary restraining order against Berry and is also asking the court for sole custody, seeking to modify their current shared-custody arrangement.

In court documents, Martinez alleged that Berry jumped on top of their son on September 26, wrapped her hands around his neck and nearly choked him. He claimed it was not an isolated incident and that similar altercations had happened before. Martinez also accused Berry of repeatedly insulting him in front of their son, including allegedly calling him a "white bitch" who was robbing a Black woman under the guise of child support.

Berry's attorney quickly pushed back, saying that calling Martinez's allegations "entirely meritless and deliberately misleading" would be an understatement. Her lawyer further claimed that ample evidence showed Martinez had repeatedly defied court orders and interfered with their son's necessary medical care and educational arrangements. The statement countered that Martinez was the one with a history of erratic, possessive and violent behavior, adding that Berry was accustomed to such allegations from her ex-husband.
