BANDAI SPIRITS’ model kit brand BANDAI HOBBY announced an upcoming RG Star GaoGaiGar kit from "The King of Braves GaoGaiGar" at the 64th All Japan Model & Hobby Show on October 2. The company also unveiled the first prototype currently in development.
Star GaoGaiGar is GaoGaiGar’s space-combat configuration, created by replacing Stealth Gao with Stealth Gao II during Final Fusion. Its newly installed Ul-Tech Engines dramatically increase the machine’s output, extending its operational time in space while improving maneuverability within the atmosphere. Phantom Rings mounted on both wings can be equipped to its hands, greatly amplifying the power of Broken Phantom and Protect Wall for an even stronger mix of offensive and defensive capabilities.
Released in 2022, RG GaoGaiGar uses the RG line’s extensive parts and color separation to recreate all four component machines: Galeon, Stealth Gao, Liner Gao, and Drill Gao. Each machine closely matches its on-screen appearance and colors with little to no painting required, while delivering densely sculpted details across elements such as the tank treads and cockpits. Along with faithfully reproducing the four-machine transformation and combination system, the kit offers impressive articulation and can recreate signature equipment and techniques including the Dividing Driver, Protect Shade, and Hell and Heaven.
The newly announced RG Star GaoGaiGar uses newly tooled parts to recreate the Stealth Gao II mounted on its back. Clear green effect parts depict the Ul-Tech Engines on both wings in their activated state. The Phantom Ring parts also appear to be removable, allowing collectors to display them mounted on Star GaoGaiGar’s hands. Additional details will be announced at a later date.
