Bandai's Candy Toy brand BANDAI CANDY unveiled the molded prototype for "SMP AAP07: BALTEUS" from "ARMORED CORE VI FIRES OF RUBICON" at the 64th All Japan Model & Hobby Show, which opened today. The initial product reveal relied primarily on CG renders and development materials to showcase the Chapter 1 boss's colossal construction. Now, the fully assembled prototype offers a much clearer look at how the central body, circular weapons platform, massive arsenal, and display base all come together. The kit is priced at 49,940 yen including tax and is scheduled to ship in April 2027.

We previously covered the complete product details for "SMP AAP07: BALTEUS." This Planetary Closure Administration special-operations autonomous craft is built around the AA18: LIGHT CAVALRY, surrounded by an enormous array of weapons and propulsion units. Its relentless missile barrages left a lasting impression on countless players reaching the end of Chapter 1 for the first time. With the physical prototype now on display, collectors can finally see how the enormous ring-shaped weapons platform envelops the central machine. The quadruple-barreled scattergun, triple Gatling guns, and grenade cannon extend outward in every direction, leaving barely any open space around the model.

Alongside the fully assembled display, BANDAI CANDY also presented the detached deployment parts for the 156-missile array. Each curved launcher connects around the main body to form the weapon system's signature hemispherical structure. The retail kit will recreate the fully deployed missile configuration with interchangeable parts. Even spread across the display table, the sheer number of curved launcher assemblies makes it easy to see how the completed array almost completely surrounds BALTEUS.

The model shown at the event is a molded prototype that has not received its final color finish. Visitors can clearly see the gray, beige, dark red, and black molded parts, along with the armor's rivets, framework, and intricate weapon detailing. Compared with the polished colors of the earlier official CG renders, this display feels more like an advance look at the actual kit—and just how much plastic will be packed into the box.
