Japanese figure maker Kaiyodo unveiled a first look on its official Instagram today, October 3, at its newly announced collaboration with Hong Kong action figure brand Storm Collectibles. Now on display at Wonder Festival Shanghai, the new "Attack on Titan" release is the imposing Colossal Titan Articulated Figure Ver.!
Kaiyodo has already brought several members of the Nine Titans to its REVOLTECH AMAZING YAMAGUCHI line, including the Attack Titan, Female Titan, Armored Titan, Beast Titan, and Jaw Titan. The company also recently confirmed upcoming figures of the Cart Titan and Falco's Jaw Titan. Bertholdt's towering, city-destroying Colossal Titan, meanwhile, made its debut as part of the large-scale MEGA SOFVi series.

The MEGA SOFVi version, scheduled to ship later this month, may be massive, but its lack of articulation left some collectors wanting more. Given the character's enormous build, however, most fans assumed a fully articulated release simply was not practical. Kaiyodo and Storm Collectibles shattered those expectations with the unpainted prototype displayed at Wonder Festival Shanghai, delivering a gigantic Colossal Titan with full-body articulation. Based on the photos and video from the show floor, this articulated edition appears to match the MEGA SOFVi version's incredible size while incorporating joint engineering similar to the AMAZING YAMAGUCHI line. Butterfly joints connect the chest sections without compromising the sculpt, while the elbows and knees feature double-jointed construction. It will also include a smoke effect recreating the steam vented from the Titan's mouth. The result looks absolutely staggering. Full product details will be announced at a later date—and collectors should probably expect a price tag every bit as massive as the figure itself!
