Chinese action figure brand SexyIce displayed a physical prototype of the VERMIN Project Daedalus Test Subject B0200 Acridid at Wonder Festival 2026 Shanghai. While earlier product reveals showcased its three masks and massive arsenal of firearms and melee weapons, the event offered the first clear look at the figure's biological exoskeleton, artificial armor, and fully equipped proportions. Priced at approximately RMB 598, the figure is expected to ship in the first quarter of 2027.

We previously covered the B0200 Acridid teaser design, followed by a full product reveal detailing its weapons and construction. Now that the prototype has appeared at Wonder Festival 2026 Shanghai, collectors can get a much better sense of how its long antennae, compound eyes, insect exoskeleton, and tactical equipment work together. In person, the militarized insect bioweapon aesthetic comes across even more strongly than it did in the promotional images.

The physical prototype also provides a clearer look at how the three masks and extensive arsenal can be mixed and matched. Its loadout includes an M12S pump-action shotgun, M9 semi-automatic pistols, a K9K compact submachine gun, G40F fragmentation grenades, and the Jack the Ripper melee weapon set, covering nearly every close- to mid-range combat scenario. Holsters, equipment racks, and rear-mounted storage points allow the weapons to be carried directly on the figure.

SexyIce previously shared an articulation stress test, explaining that major load-bearing areas pair POK plastic with stainless steel, while several smaller components are also made from stainless steel. With the prototype now on display, it is easier to see how the joints, segmented armor, and weapon mounting points were engineered. Rather than simply piling on accessories, SexyIce has clearly considered the weight support and secure attachment needed for hands-on posing.
