BANDAI SPIRITS' TAMASHII NATIONS collectible division has teased the next release in its S.H.Figuarts Shinkocchou Seihou line, which sculpts heroes from the skeleton up to faithfully recreate their on-screen proportions while delivering natural articulation. Announced through the official X account, the third figure from the hit tokusatsu series "Kamen Rider Ryuki" will be none other than Kamen Rider Scissors. Additional details will be revealed at a later date!
Kamen Rider Scissors is the Rider identity of corrupt police detective Masashi Sudo, making him the first openly villainous character in Kamen Rider history to transform into an enemy Rider. His Contract Monster is Volcancer. Sudo used his position to collude with criminals, murdered an accomplice to silence him, and later exploited his Rider powers to conceal evidence of the crime after obtaining a Card Deck. He is also one of the few Riders explicitly shown ordering his Contract Monster to devour people. After Kamen Rider Knight destroyed his Card Deck, the now-uncontrolled Volcancer ate Sudo alive, making Scissors the first Rider to die in the series.
The announcement comes as a genuine surprise. Following protagonist Kamen Rider Ryuki and fan-favorite Kamen Rider Ouja, most collectors expected the third release to be secondary Rider Kamen Rider Knight. Instead, Kamen Rider Scissors—who appeared for just two episodes before meeting his grisly end—is getting the Shinkocchou Seihou treatment first. At this point, there is no telling which Rider could be next!
