After War Gundam X MG 1/100 Gundam X Divider Announced With New Harmonica Cannon Parts

BANDAI HOBBY, the plastic model brand under Japan’s BANDAI SPIRITS, has announced a new release for its MG (Master Grade) line of highly articulated 1/100-scale Gundam model kits, known for their detailed parts separation and internal frames. The latest addition is the Gundam X Divider from "After War Gundam X." A prototype was also displayed at the 64th All Japan Model & Hobby Show, with the kit slated for an exclusive release through PREMIUM BANDAI.

After the Gundam X piloted by protagonist Garrod Ran suffered extensive damage during its fierce battle against the Newtype-use mobile suit Bertigo, piloted by Carris Nautilus, its rear-mounted Satellite Cannon was left beyond repair. Lacking the materials and technology needed to restore the weapon, the Freeden’s mechanics extensively overhauled the mobile suit’s armament system and rebuilt it as the GX-9900-DV Gundam X Divider. The upgrades replaced its Shield Buster Rifle with a Beam Machine Gun, added two Large Beam Swords, and introduced the new multipurpose Divider. In addition to serving as a shield and auxiliary propulsion unit, the Divider houses the powerful 19-barrel Harmonica Cannon.

The prototype of the MG 1/100 Gundam X Divider currently on display reveals that the kit builds upon the previously released MG 1/100 Gundam X while incorporating numerous newly molded parts. These additions recreate the rebuilt mobile suit’s revised backpack, Beam Machine Gun, and signature Divider. The display also shows the Divider opened in Harmonica Cannon mode, with finely detailed parts reproducing its internal mechanisms and individual cannon ports.
