BANDAI is turning the iconic RX-78-2 Gundam from "Mobile Suit Gundam" into a large, poseable plush with the Nui Motions Gundam. Its arms and legs can be repositioned for raised-arm, standing, and other poses. It even comes with a shield and Beam Rifle, letting this soft and cuddly Gundam gear up for battle. Priced at 8,580 yen with tax included, preorders open October 9, 2026, with shipping scheduled for April 2027.
The Nui Motions line features plush toys with posable arms and legs that can be arranged however you like. Previous releases could lie down, raise their arms, and strike a variety of poses. Now that the RX-78-2 Gundam has joined the lineup, its normally rigid armor has been recreated entirely in soft fabric without sacrificing the line’s poseable play value. Seeing the Gundam throw both arms into the air creates a completely different vibe from the usual model kit.
Standing approximately 48.5 cm tall, this is a seriously huggable plush rather than a small display piece. Both arms and legs can be repositioned, while the included shield and Beam Rifle let collectors switch between classic combat stances and poses the Gundam would never normally strike. That contrast—an unmistakable RX-78-2 design transformed into something soft and cuddly—is easily the most entertaining part of the release.
