BANDAI SPIRITS has announced the latest addition to its BANDAI HOBBY HG (High Grade) Gunpla lineup, the widest-ranging selection of 1/144-scale kits. Based on "After War Gundam X," the new HG 1/144 GX-Bit is scheduled for release in January 2027, with a prototype also on display at the 64th All Japan Model & Hobby Show.
The FX-9900 GX-Bit is an unmanned mobile suit deployed alongside the GX-9900 Gundam X during the 7th Space War. It boasts the same performance and armament as its Gundam X control unit. Using the Flash System, a Newtype pilot can command up to 12 GX-Bits simultaneously—and unleash a combined barrage from 13 Satellite Cannons when counting the Gundam X itself.
Based on the prototype currently on display, the HG 1/144 GX-Bit uses all-new tooling to faithfully capture the mobile suit’s sleek anime design. The two chest-mounted Vulcan barrels are molded as separate parts, while the display also shows the rear-mounted Satellite Cannon fully deployed.
