Embark’s Shooters Head to Hollywood: "ARC Raiders" and "THE FINALS" Set for TV and Film Adaptations

Swedish video game developer Embark Studios announced Monday that it is teaming with Chernin Entertainment, the production company behind the "Planet of the Apes" and "Fear Street" franchises, to adapt its hit shooters "ARC Raiders" and "THE FINALS" for film and television. Embark recently opened the rights to both video game properties for bidding, with Chernin ultimately winning the deal.

Embark founder and CEO Patrick Söderlund said in a statement: "Nexon’s agreement with Chernin Entertainment is the next big step in growing 'ARC Raiders' and 'THE FINALS' into deeply integrated transmedia experiences that reward the passion of our global player community. Throughout the process, the creative teams at Embark Studios will work closely with Chernin to ensure the creativity that defines both of these properties extends into all-new formats."
