Danish building-block brand LEGO is expanding its LEGO Art lineup with the DC "Batman" "The Joker Wall Art Comic Cover" set. Continuing the recently announced LEGO x "Batman" 2027 lineup, this release transforms Jock’s unforgettable cover art for 2011’s "Detective Comics #880" into a dimensional brick-built display. The Joker’s eyes, lips, and facial contours project outward from the surface, creating a piece that can either hang on the wall or stand on a shelf. Preorders are now open for $169.99, with shipping scheduled to begin January 1, 2027.
"Detective Comics #880" features one of the most memorable Joker covers ever published. Illustrated by Jock, the image strips the composition down to the villain’s ghostly white face, blood-red lips, and heavy black shadows. Rather than recreating the cover as a flat brick mosaic, LEGO builds the eyes, nose, and mouth outward in layers, making The Joker’s expression look as though it is pushing through the wall.
A closer look reveals Batarangs, swords, flowers, and the words “Ha, ha, ha, ha” hidden within the deeper layers of The Joker’s face. These details are woven throughout the brick-built structure, giving fans more to discover beyond the comic-cover likeness. His disheveled hair, exaggerated lips, and menacing grin are also recreated with layered elements that add depth and texture to the finished display.
