Kotobukiya’s Milky☆Subway Makina Kurusu Non-Scale Plastic Model Kit Unleashes the Violence-Loving Cyborg Heiress!

Japanese model kit manufacturer Kotobukiya has unveiled its latest release from the hit anime series "Milky☆Subway": a Makina Kurusu non-scale articulated plastic model kit. Priced at 9,900 yen including tax, the kit is scheduled for release in April 2027.

First streamed on YouTube in multiple languages in July 2025, "Milky☆Subway" is an original 3D animated series created almost entirely by independent animator Yohei Kameyama, who handled its direction, screenplay, design, and production. Building on his buzzworthy graduation project "Milky☆Highway," each three-and-a-half-minute episode follows augmented human Chiharu, cyborg heiress Makina Kurusu, and four other colorful offenders as they perform community service by cleaning a derelict train after committing crimes including speeding. Things quickly go off the rails when the supposedly decommissioned space train mysteriously leaves the platform and rockets into space, launching the group on a dangerous journey across the galaxy.

The Milky☆Subway Makina Kurusu non-scale articulated plastic model kit stands approximately 6.5 inches (16.5 centimeters) tall, faithfully recreating Makina’s elaborate blend of mechanical cyborg components and trendy gyaru fashion. It includes three pre-painted interchangeable face plates, along with an unpainted face part that can be customized using the included expression decals. Accessories include four pairs of alternate hands featuring detailed mechanical joints, a train control key with a corresponding holding hand, a left hand holding her badge, a replacement right arm with its weapon deployed, and an alternate head part recreating the head-opening scene from the finale. Combine it with the included blacked-out face plate to display Makina with nothing but her head remaining, just as seen in the series.

▼Orders placed through the official Kotobukiya Online Shop will include an exclusive custom display base.
