Japanese model manufacturer Kotobukiya has revealed the latest crossover release between its "Megalo Maria" and "HEXA GEAR" plastic model lines: the fully articulated "SANA AKABISHI [DRESS CODE]" model kit. Priced at 10,780 yen including tax, the kit is scheduled for release in March 2027.

"SANA AKABISHI [DRESS CODE]" originated as a mascot created by the original HEXA GEAR producer YUKI, who based her on the artificial intelligence SANAT from the series' story. Originally depicted with brown hair and a red dress, Sana wears a signature red diamond-shaped hair ornament and frequently appears on official blogs and social media to introduce new products and events. She previously received her own plastic model kit, while SOUSAISHOJOTEIEN later introduced Emma Koishikawa, a character inspired by Sana Akabishi. For her Megalo Maria crossover appearance, Sana's long hair has been cut short to distinguish her from Emma, while its color has been changed to silver-white to make her Queen Gem headpiece stand out. Naoyuki Kameyama designed her military-gothic outfit in the same style as Maria Kagaribi, completing the transformation of Sana Akabishi into the Red Queen.

Standing approximately 6.3 inches tall, "SANA AKABISHI [DRESS CODE]" is built to the same top-tier specifications as "MARIA KAGARIBI [DRESS CODE]". Counting the movable eyes and Phlegethon's support arms, the kit features an impressive 88 points of articulation. Like Maria, Sana wears a double-sided printed skirt made from flexible material, now extended into a calf-length design. The removable skirt takes full advantage of the highly articulated hip structure provided by the "Maria Swing" system. Two interchangeable faces with movable eyes are included—a serious expression and a smile—along with three interchangeable bangs parts for displaying her with the military cap, with the Queen Gem, or without the ornament.

Sana's main weapon, "Phlegethon," consists of four muskets fitted with translucent red blades along their barrels. The guns can be held in her hands or mounted to the four included mechanical arms using the connection point on her back. The weapon mount at the center can support up to eight weapons. Combine the kit with the separately sold "Criminal Buster" and "Phlegethon" sets to recreate her devastating "Annihilation Mode".

▼The emblem on her thigh is applied using preprinted tampography.

▼Customers who purchase "SANA AKABISHI [DRESS CODE]" through the official Kotobukiya Online Shop will receive an exclusive "Zoatex Eye" movable-eye part.
