BANDAI SPIRITS’ TAMASHII NATIONS collectibles division has announced that Ultraman Hikari from "Ultraman Mebius" is joining its popular S.H.Figuarts action figure line. Full product details will be revealed at a later date.
Ultraman Hikari was once one of the Land of Light’s leading researchers at the Space Science Technology Bureau. His work on Life Solidification Technology benefited countless lives and earned him a promotion to bureau chief, but it also sparked wars in other regions. Overcome with guilt, Hikari embarked on a self-imposed exile. During his travels, he arrived on the beautiful Planet Arb, passed a trial set by Ultraman King, and received the Knight Brace. However, he was ultimately unable to prevent Planet Arb’s destruction. His guilt, grief, and rage, combined with the lingering resentment of Planet Arb, transformed him into the ruthless avenger known as Hunter Knight Tsurugi.
Two years after the release of S.H.Figuarts Hunter Knight Tsurugi, Hikari’s true form is finally getting its own figure. The prototype images released so far reveal that Ultraman Hikari is constructed almost entirely with newly sculpted parts, recreating the heroic face once hidden beneath his armor, the Color Timer and Star Marks on his chest, and the distinctive body patterns associated with blue Ultras. His right wrist is also equipped with the versatile Knight Brace. Hopefully, the finished release will follow Hunter Knight Tsurugi’s lead and include effect parts for signature attacks such as the Knight Beam Blade and Knight Shoot.
