BANDAI HOBBY, the plastic model brand operated by Japan’s BANDAI SPIRITS, unveiled a prototype of the upcoming "MG 1/100 THE GUNDAM BASE LIMITED GUNDAM VIDAR [CLEAR COLOR]" at the recent 64th All Japan Model & Hobby Show. The exclusive Gunpla kit is scheduled to go on sale at official flagship store THE GUNDAM BASE in December 2026.

After Gaelio Bauduin survived McGillis Fareed’s betrayal, he donned a mask and assumed the identity of "Vidar" to pursue his revenge. His cavalry-themed Gundam Kimaris was subsequently recovered, repaired, and disguised as the ASW-G-XX Gundam Vidar. The mobile suit’s Alaya-Vijnana Type E combat support system was developed using the brain of the deceased Ein Dalton. It delivers reaction speed and mobility comparable to the conventional Alaya-Vijnana System without requiring the pilot to undergo dangerous implant surgery or endure extreme neurological strain.

The "MG 1/100 THE GUNDAM BASE LIMITED GUNDAM VIDAR [CLEAR COLOR]" is based on the previously released standard retail kit. Its blue, black, and red armor components have all been recast in clear plastic, revealing the intricately detailed Gundam Frame underneath. The transparent armor also makes the kit particularly well suited for custom lighting and glow-in-the-dark paint applications, giving builders new ways to create a look unlike a standard Gunpla release.
