Acclaimed game creator Hideo Kojima revealed on the latest episode of the “KOJI10” podcast that he has already filmed a cameo for a “major live-action movie.” He remains unable to disclose the title and even refused to reveal where the shoot took place, sparking intense speculation over the mystery project.

“I’ve actually already shot a few other things after being approached by directors and other people,” Kojima said. He stressed that this was not simply a behind-the-scenes voice role—he physically appears on camera. For now, all he can confirm is that it is a live-action film and a sizable production.
Given Kojima’s well-known passion for movies, fans quickly began throwing out theories. Potential candidates included “Dune: Part Three,” the live-action “The Legend of Zelda” movie and “Godzilla-0.0.” Others joked that he might appear in “Avengers: Doomsday,” though there is currently no evidence supporting any of the guesses.

Beyond the mystery live-action film, Kojima revealed that he will also appear in two “major anime” projects, both of which will give him speaking roles. Their titles remain under wraps. He also confirmed a cameo in an unannounced game, prompting renewed speculation around Naughty Dog’s “Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet,” for which he previously underwent a digital scan.
As for his own projects, Kojima continues to develop “PHYSINT” and the horror game “OD,” offering an update on the former during the same podcast episode. With appearances across movies, anime and games all in the works, Kojima’s presence beyond the gaming world only continues to grow.
