MegaHouse is bringing "Shin Godzilla" to its premium miniature diorama line with the new PETITRAMA DX Godzilla (2016) Pre-painted Figure. Priced at 16,280 yen, the piece is scheduled for release in February 2027.
Directed by Hideaki Anno and Shinji Higuchi, "Shin Godzilla" is the 31st entry in the Godzilla film franchise and takes place in its own standalone continuity. Much like the original 1954 movie, the story depicts Godzilla as a "giant unidentified creature" appearing and making landfall in Japan for the first time. The film grossed $78 million worldwide and became Japan's highest-grossing live-action film of 2016.
Shin Godzilla has finally joined the PETITRAMA DX series. Standing approximately 5.7 inches tall with its base, the diorama places Godzilla's iconic fourth form at the center of the composition as he unleashes superheated gas and flames across the city. The apocalyptic sculpt is backed by meticulous paintwork, including fiery reflections cast across the surrounding buildings. A red "Shin Godzilla" title logo rises above the effect parts, giving the display a dramatic finishing touch. Godzilla's second and third forms—affectionately nicknamed Kamata-kun and Shinagawa-kun—appear on either side, letting collectors admire multiple stages of his terrifying evolution from every angle.
