TAITO has revealed the latest addition to its popular Desktop Cute line of seated prize figures. Based on the hit anime "Frieren: Beyond Journey's End," the new "Frieren: Training Days" figure is scheduled to arrive as an arcade prize in November 2026!
A thousand years ago, during the Mythical Era, Frieren's homeland was destroyed by demons. After Flamme rescued her, Frieren became the legendary mage's sole apprentice and learned the survival skills of controlling and concealing her mana. Flamme may have appeared strict during their time together, but she also taught Frieren how to enjoy magic in an age of peace. Though their master-apprentice relationship lasted only a short time from Frieren's perspective, it laid the foundation for her magical abilities and profoundly shaped her understanding of humanity and the passage of time.
The "Frieren: Training Days" figure recreates Frieren's apprentice-era appearance from a thousand years ago, when she studied magic under Flamme. She sits atop a crumbling stone pillar, taking a break while cradling a burlap sack and scrolls in her arms. The sculpt captures the folds of her white apprentice robe, while molded skin-tone parts recreate her pale complexion. Fine details extend to the texture of the sack and the worn, damaged edges of the scrolls. Her hair combines translucent colored material with painted shading, creating a beautifully luminous effect under the light. The result is an ethereal portrait of the young, inexperienced Frieren unlike any previous figure of the character.
