Japanese figure manufacturer MegaHouse has announced a new product based on the classic anime Future GPX Cyber Formula: the ~LEGEND'S FACES COLLECTION~ Navigation Cyber System Asurada (Super Asurada 01 Ver.), scheduled for release in May 2027.
In the world of Future GPX Cyber Formula, every racing machine is equipped with an AI-powered support system known as the Cyber System (CS). These systems help drivers fine-tune their vehicles and provide timely advice, serving a role comparable to a rally co-driver. Asurada, however, is a particularly unusual Cyber System. Developed by Hiroyuki Kazami, it possesses not only advanced learning capabilities but also the ability to understand human emotions and display a distinct personality of its own, ultimately choosing Hayato Kazami as its one and only driver.
The ~LEGEND'S FACES COLLECTION~ Navigation Cyber System Asurada (Super Asurada 01 Ver.) is based on the MASTER PRODUCT Navigation Cyber System Asurada released in 2018. Its outer casing has been replaced with newly sculpted parts based on the Super Asurada 01 design. Standing approximately 13 cm tall and produced at roughly 1:1 scale, it faithfully recreates the in-series dimensions and substantial presence of the original system.
The base uses a ball-joint connection, allowing Asurada’s angle to be adjusted to suit the viewer’s line of sight. Inserting batteries illuminates the sensors in red and green, creating a more immersive display. However, features included with the MASTER PRODUCT version—such as Asurada voice clips, infrared-sensor-controlled automatic movement, and the dedicated controller—have not been carried over, resulting in a considerably lower price.
