To celebrate the 50th anniversary of its Gashapon brand, BANDAI SPIRITS’ collector toy division TAMASHII is bringing two icons together. The classic die-cast Chogokin line is teaming up with Gashapon for the new Chogokin Gashapon Station Robot, with more details to be announced at a later date!
First launched in 1977, Gashapon is kicking off its 50th anniversary celebration under the slogan "WE ARE GASHAPON." During its October 8 presentation, the brand unveiled several plans for the future, including a global retail expansion, international touring events, new large-format machines, and the Chogokin Gashapon Station Robot. Based on the initial reveal, the toy transforms from a white capsule vending machine into a red-and-white robot. Its humanoid form incorporates an array of mechanical details inspired by Gashapon machines, and we can’t wait for a closer look at the full design and transformation engineering.
