With the release of "Grand Theft Auto VI" drawing closer, Rockstar Games has already showcased a wide range of recreational activities, including basketball, kayaking and target shooting. However, the latest ratings information lists mature content such as nudity, drug use and graphic violence, while neither the U.S. nor European classification includes a gambling descriptor. That omission suggests players may not be able to take their stolen cash to an in-game casino.

According to GTAVice, the Entertainment Software Rating Board has rated "Grand Theft Auto VI" M for Mature, citing blood and gore, intense violence, mature humor, nudity, strong language, strong sexual content, and the use of drugs and alcohol. Gambling, however, is not mentioned.
Europe's PEGI rating likewise carries no gambling label, marking a notable contrast with "Red Dead Redemption," "Red Dead Redemption 2," "Red Dead Online" and the PlayStation 5 version of "Grand Theft Auto V," all of which previously received gambling-related content descriptors.
The discrepancy has fueled speculation that players will not be able to participate in casino activities such as blackjack. Still, the absence of a gambling descriptor does not confirm that Rockstar Games has eliminated every gambling mechanic, and other forms of wagering cannot be ruled out. The available information also offers no indication of whether a future online mode could introduce a casino separately.

The game's violence is described in far more specific terms. A detailed PEGI ratings page that was briefly published and later removed reportedly referenced scenes featuring "detailed decapitation and dismemberment," suggesting that attacks may inflict highly explicit physical damage on characters.
Players will also be able to attack animals, although they will not display the same level of injury detail as human characters. Rockstar Games previously confirmed that the game will feature more than 170 animal species, with some reportedly carrying "legendary" status.
YouTube has notably begun age-restricting certain videos featuring excessively graphic game violence, including content centered on torture or mass attacks against noncombatants. As a result, the violence in "Grand Theft Auto VI" could become a concern for streamers and video creators when uploading gameplay footage.
The same ratings description states that players can carry cocaine and use it directly from their hands, while other drugs can be consumed through the inventory system.
The game will also occasionally feature scenes involving sexual fetishes, some of which may have already been hinted at in previously released extended footage. Overall, "Grand Theft Auto VI" appears poised to maintain the franchise's adults-only edge, but whether casino gameplay is truly absent remains unclear until Rockstar Games provides further details.
