Emme Hoy has been tapped to lead the live-action series after previously writing for the second season of See-Saw's "Sweetpea." Producers said the adaptation will aim to reach a broader, older audience while still satisfying the franchise's massive existing fan base. The project remains in development, with no episodic directors, cast members or distributor yet announced.
