Deadline reports that Paramount Pictures, under parent company Skydance, is developing a live-action movie based on the video game "Cyberpunk 2077," with original developer CD Projekt Red also joining the project as a producer.
A director and screenwriter have yet to be named, but "Transformers" and "G.I. Joe" franchise producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura is already on board.
A live-action "Cyberpunk 2077" project was first announced in 2023, though only independent production company Anonymous Content was attached at the time. Skydance was not involved, and the project was never confirmed to be a feature film. Anonymous Content is no longer mentioned in the latest report, suggesting this may be a separate adaptation or that the earlier project has been scrapped.
