BANDAI SPIRITS has announced the latest addition to its BANDAI HOBBY HG (High Grade) line, the 1/144-scale Gunpla series spanning the widest range of Gundam titles. Based on the upcoming "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM ZERO," the new HG 1/144 MURASAME KAI (INITIAL PRODUCTION TYPE) is priced at 2,970 yen, including tax, and is scheduled for release in December 2026.
Developed from the MVF-M11C Murasame, the STTS/F-400 Murasame Kai serves as the Orb military's next-generation mainline mobile suit. Its transformable frame allows it to shift into a fighter-style MA form, delivering excellent mobility and cruising performance. The new kit shares most of its sculpt and engineering with the previously released HG 1/144 Murasame Kai, but features a different loadout and color scheme. The original gray, white, and red palette has been replaced with dark blue and black, while the wing-mounted missiles have been removed and the beam rifle sports a new design. The transformation system also returns, allowing the model to convert into its air-combat MA form.
