FuRyu Prize has revealed the latest addition to MUCHUTE (ムチュート), its new prize figure brand built around characters with irresistible appeal. The upcoming release stars Tobio Kageyama from the hit anime "Haikyu!!" and is scheduled to arrive as a prize item beginning in May 2027.
A graduate of Kitagawa Daiichi Junior High, Tobio Kageyama is a gifted setter with exceptional technique and an innate feel for the ball. His poor communication skills and abrasive personality, however, earned him the double-edged nickname "King of the Court." Everything began to change when he entered Karasuno High School and met Shoyo Hinata. Pairing Kageyama’s remarkable control with Hinata’s incredible athleticism, the duo developed the devastating off-tempo attack known as the Freak Quick.
This MUCHUTE figure captures Tobio Kageyama in Karasuno’s orange uniform, looking back over his shoulder while gripping the team’s banner in a commanding pose. Fine sculpting brings out the folds in his uniform along with details such as his knee pads and volleyball shoes. The standout feature is the banner itself, which is made from real fabric and printed with the large Japanese slogan “飛べ” (“Fly”), plus “烏野高校男子バレーボール部OB会” (“Karasuno High School Boys’ Volleyball Club Alumni Association”) in the lower-right corner. The cloth element gives the figure a premium finish rarely seen in prize releases. It also has us hoping FuRyu expands the concept with more fan-favorite players holding banners from their respective schools.
