BANDAI's Gashapon brand has announced the latest release in its popular "HG (HIGH GRADE REAL FIGURE)" capsule toy line. Based on Toei's legendary tokusatsu franchise "Super Sentai," "HG Super Sentai Series Vol. 3" is scheduled for release in January 2027.
The long-running "Super Sentai" franchise debuted in 1975 with "Himitsu Sentai Gorenger" and remained a Japanese tokusatsu institution for half a century. Although the series entered a hiatus following the 2026 finale of its 50th-anniversary production, "No.1 Sentai Gozyuger," its iconic heroes and robots continue to live on through an extensive range of toys and collectibles. That gives longtime fans something to remember the Sunday mornings once spent watching their favorite Sentai teams in action. After making its comeback, the classic HG figure line is now entering its third wave with four more fan-favorite warriors.
"HG Super Sentai Series Vol. 3" includes Shinken Red from "Samurai Sentai Shinkenger," Lupin Red from "Kaitou Sentai Lupinranger VS Keisatsu Sentai Patranger," Deka Red from "Tokusou Sentai Dekaranger," and Spider Kumonos from "Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger." Each fixed-pose figure stands approximately 9 cm tall, with detailed sculpting and paintwork recreating the on-screen suits and each warrior's signature post-transformation roll-call pose.
